Rose Scallop doily

For lack of a better name, this one is being called Rose Scallop Doily.  It's the last one completed before starting the baby blanket and is from a foreign publication.  It's made with #30 thread and a #13 hook.  The doily measures 20-21 inches across....but I do block rather tightly.

It's not a doily???

Yes, it's not a doily this time.  I've started a baby blanket for a little girl.  It's been about 3 yrs since I crocheted anything for a baby, so I'm having to get use to working with yarn again.  It is coming along nicely.  The pattern is from a Leisure Arts leaflet called Crocheted-Afghans for Baby 2 published in the late 1980s.  I've made blankets from this leaflet before.

Another one finished!!

I posted a while back two smaller doilies that will go with this larger one.  I really like this pattern.  This doily is 18-19 inches across; #10 thread; and made with a #8 hook.  The use of color with the rose and leaves are my added touches.....

A 2nd doily for today...

The 2nd doily off the "blocking board" today comes from Diana Ouvrages #127.  I used thread from ThreadArt, their sea mist color.  The thread is size #10 and I used the #8 hook.  It's such a pretty little thing.

Elemental Achievement

What an unusual name for a doily, but I do beleive it fits.  The design is by Patricia Kristoffersen and comes from the book Ultimate Doilies published by Leisure Arts.  I used #10 thread with a #8 hook.

And...a close up of the wonderful design in this doily.
