Last doily posted

One of my followers asked about the last doily  made, and the publication it came from.  The patterns in the book are chart form.  Although I can't read the language, I can read pattern charts.  Charts are basically the same regardless of the language of the book.  You need to just look at the number of rows in the chart and decide what size thread and size hook you want to use.  That's all there is to it!

Hope this helps.

A present!

Did you know that last Thursday was my birthday??  I turned 66!  Imagine that!   I don't feel like I'm 66, but then I don't really know how you should feel at 66.  The Lord has been very kind to me and really blessed me with good health!  Thank you Lord for your graciousness and kindness to me!

A friend gifted to me a slightly used camera that she doesn't use any more since she uses her iphone for everything.   Up until this time I have been taking pictures with an older Canon Powershot A75.  This camera was my introduction to the digital world and has served me well.  Last year I splurged and purchased a Canon WC-DC 52 wide angle lense for it.   I have wanted a nicer camera but hadn't pursued it.

My current Canon Poweshot A75 without the wide angle lense...

The slightly used Canon Rebel EOS XS 1000D with a 18-55mm lense on it.......

AND a 75-300mm lense was included!

Now to start learning all the "bells and whistles"!!

Stars and Roses Doily is completed

I finally was able to finish the doily, correcting all the mistakes I had made.  BOY, it was a chore, but I think it was well worth it because I just love the finished doily.  It was made with #10 thread using a #8 hook.  It measures 19 inches across.  The pink thread is from ThreadArt.  The pattern is from Crochet Memories.  I did change the rose pattern to something else I had in my "database".

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!!
